Trish creates her ceramics in exploration of colour and texture, subtlety and surprise and often finds her inspiration in the landscape around her. Trish’s background in textiles underpins her work, alongside a history of large scale Abstract Painting, where she finds the freedom of energy that this can bring. Both of these influences drive her interest in exploration, not only in the incredible and versatile media of clay, and its three dimensional form, but also in the subtleties of decoration. As a watercolour artist, Trish looks to also bring in these subtle elements, using stains, slips and glazes on her stoneware pieces.
