Joanne Dale Studio Pottery

Joanne’s ceramic practice reflects a deep appreciation for both the beauty of everyday objects and the freedom of expressive making. Alongside a collection of wheel-thrown tableware designed to be enjoyed in daily life, she creates large hand-built stoneware vessels that explore texture, surface, and form. Working intuitively with layered underglazes, she applies, removes, and reworks each surface to reveal marks that echo weathered landscapes and the passage of time. Her background in art and design continues to inform her thoughtful approach to composition, while clay offers a slower, more tactile way of working. Each piece celebrates the dialogue between function, material, and the quiet pleasure of making by hand.
